John and Dawn are members at Harvest Baptist in Bath, NY. Dawn was on the faculty here at Cortland Christian Academy for several years and is not on staff at the Corning Christian Academy. The situation with John has been touch-and-go for awhile, but today there is some tremendously good news. John was taken out of ICU yesterday. He walked to his room! They have removed the breathing tube and tomorrow may take out the feeding tube. There is still some pneumonia in his lungs. Therapy is being done for him. Pray for their sons, Shaun and Patrick. The boys have moved out there to be close to their parents and are looking for jobs. John is on top of the tist for a heart transplant. They live near the border in Texas. Pete is the brother of one of our church folks here at Bible Baptist. Recently Joy went from Texas to Nevada to be with her sister who has been hospitalized for a time. The last time Pete spoke with Joy was on Saturday. Since then they have been unable to contact her or any of the family. On a few occasions Mexican voices answered her cell phone. Then a man answered and scolded them and told them this was his phone number and had been for several months. A check with the phone provider said this was not possible. Foul play is now expected. This evening the police are with Pete trying to put together a course of action. Both the Raymonds and our folks here could really use the knowledge that you folks are praying. No foul play but a lot of interesting glitches - numbers switched on cell phones. Long and retrospectively amusing story. When, finally, a member of the family was successfully found the response was "Everything's fine. Why do you ask?:" So...relief in New Mexico (which is where they live - not Texas, which I reported last night) and in Nevada. Pete's sister, here at Bible Baptist, is suspicious that she has aged ten years through this process. Thank you for your prayers. I hope this was not God saying "This was a test...in the case of a real emergency..." Keep on... Pastor Comings -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The information is as follows: Dawn (Pauler) Savage - has struggled with brain dysfunctions for many years. The problems are worsening and recently a serious situation has developed. We're not sure where Dawn is at the moment but suspect that it involves hospitalization somewhere. Here home address to which a card could be sent would be... Dawn Savage Winston Summit 137 Columbine Drive, Apt. 315 Winston Salem, NC 21706 I wouldn't recommend that any card make comment about her condition since neither you nor I are sufficiently informed. Rather, a reminder of the faithfulness of God. If you would be interested in more awareness you could contact Donna Parks at 315-578-2682. His first message (at 4:19 p.m.) said << My wife called me while I was ar school. She said Ted Lawrence was being taken to the hospital with a high fever and difficulty breathing. This is from a prostate condition which he has had. I am not sure which hospital. I called two area ones and both said he wasn't there. I will send more information as I can find it out. The second message from Pastor Blackburn (5:57 p.m.) said << Pastor Ted Lawrence, West Smyrna Baptist Church, has been admitted to Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY with prostatitus. Diane is with Ted and is presently waiting to talk with his doctor. That's what I have so far. Harold -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Missionary Fred Whitman (Italy) has been having increasing episodes of speech difficulty. These seem to be related to a pain in his arm. Rachel (his wife) wrote on the 20th - << He has now been in the hospital here in San Sisto for four days, and as of yet we have no answers regarding why this is happening. After we left him last evening he had another episode involving extreme pain in the arm and at that point he lost any ability to speak. Today he was speaking fairly well, but the doctors' initial diagnosis of the problem being related to stress and being over worked does not seem to hold up....Tonight we were told that if it is determined that the problem is neurological we should immediately take him to another hospital such as the one in Rome. That does not give us a lot of confidence. So pray too that we would have wiwsdom as we make decisions about where to seek care. These folks very much need your prayers. Waste collected which putrefied. What threw doctors off was that the pain seemed to be in the lower intestinal area. She has been in nauseating pain for about seven months. They plan to have him begin speech therapy soon. He has not had any more extreme episodes, for which we are thankful. When he speaks slowly he is completely understandable, so he will jsut need to be patient as he tries to communicate. << We hope that since there is now a diagnosis they will send him home soon; he definitely has "hospitalitus". However, during this time in the hospital he has been able to witness to many folks, and he has met several nurses who are regular listeners of our radio station, Radio Luce. << We thank so many of you who have written, assuring us of your love and prayers. We are humbled to know we have such a wonderful team of prayer suporters. Yesterday I decided to take my laptop to the hospital so Fred could read all of your notes. I am sorry if I could not answer each one of you, but I know you understand. When Fred is laid up I am even more aware of how much he does in one day. I am not as efficient as he is in all of the daily tasks. << Rachel Whitman - bmmitaly.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
