We would like you to pray for Berean Baptist Church, New Berlin, NY as we are going through another believer, Hilda Carey, going home. Hilda Carey was a very sincere, faithful believer and with deep biblical convictions. She was always in the church services lest her health prevented her. She was very kind hearted and yet firm as to one serving their Lord. She loved the gospel and had a deep love for the lost to be saved. She will be our fourth this year. It is not easy to let go but we thank our Lord for each going home to be with HIM. Emotions are hard to deal with though, so we thank you for our prayers. We know we will see her again real soon. Again, thank you brethren for your prayers. Her viewing will be from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, May 3rd at the Berean Baptist Church, 18 Genesee Street, New Berlin, NY. Craig and Shirley, you might remember her in your visiting us from time to time. Dean LaForce, member of First Baptist in Johnson City, is in critical condition at, I believe, Wilson Hospital in Johnson City. He has struggled physically over the past several years and, now, is in Intensive Care and Isolation. Only his wife, Shirley, is allowed to visit him. Pain is great and medication reduces his blood pressure drastically. Dean was my first pastor in a Baptist Church after I was saved. He was also a spiritual mentor to me between the ages of seventeen and twenty-four. One of the nicest compliments I ever received (second hand) was when I heard that someone who had known him in Seminary said that I acted enough like him to be my son. God used him, among other things, to overcome shyness and dare to interact better with people. (Some would say he was successful on the shyness part, anyway.) Remember Dean and Shirley in your prayers. Also, their sons Todd and Joel. Harold -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
