He has double pneumonia, severe back pain and was going through emergency dialysis when she called. It was 9 and half years ago when he had the kidney transplant. He has been very weak for the last two years but continued to work. We were to leave for our CBM Family Conference this morning. Our plans have changed we will be traveling to PA to be with Tom, Amy and the boys. Tom is very weak and we feel our place is with him at this time. Please place Tom and Amy on your church prayer list. Please be praying for the dialysis to work and that Tom will be well enough for another transplant soon. I will keep you posted with prayer requests. Many of us remember when Dick Brown and his wife served at First Baptist Church in Marathon, NY. The prayer request is as follows: ----- Forwarded Message ---- I am just writing to ask for your prayer for my best friend from High School. Many of you will remember Dalene Miller (used to be Dalene Brown)...some may not. Her Father is Pastor Richard Brown who was the Pastor at the Baptist Church for many years. A couple of weeks ago Dalene was admitted into the hospital and diagnosed with TTP (You can look this up on the internet if you want to know more about it). Basically all of her blood cells are being killed. When I received the call on Friday, June 27, they did not expect her to make it through the weekend. She has had more than 8 plasmapherisis to date. This is basically where they remove all of the blood from her body and replace it with new. This is very hard on her. Your blood platlets are supposed to be at 150,000 and hers were at 11,000. She went up to around 45,000 after her first treatment but they have dropped back down 14,000 and her blood pressure dropped to 70 over 22. This is obviously not good news. Please, Please, Please keep her in your prayers and pass this on to anyone else that will keep her in their prayers. Share it with your church people,,,anyone. There are eight major instructional opportunities which will be divided among this full-time position and teachers already in place. Those opportunities are: Grades 6/7 Language Arts - Grammar, Reading, Spelling Grades 6/7 Math Grade 8 Math Grade 9 Algebra 1 Grades 10-12 Accounting 1 Grades 7/8 History - World Geography Grades 9/10 History - Ancient World History / Creation to Reformation Grades 11/12 History - American Government and Economics. There are also niches to fill in Elementary Gym and Elementary Music. It is conceivable that the Academy will be able to cover the history courses in-house. However, if there was someone who could field these then the other subjects could be apportioned out. If the history position could be covered by a full-time instructor than it would give broader options with regard to the other subjects.
